These are a few of my favorite (fall) things…

October 4, 2010

Mitch and I both LOVE fall and have been soaking up this wonderful season since it first peaked its head into our Pittsburgh lives.  We have been thinking about and experiencing some absolutely lovely fall-ish things that keep reminding me over and over again why it makes the transition from summer to winter much more delightful.

1. Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks

2. Pumpkin choosing

3. Pumpkin carving

4. Pumpkin admiring

5. Hayrides

6. Breaking out cute sweaters and scarves

7. Stocking up on fall-scented candles

8. Because it’s been almost 6 months since I’ve made it, having my sweet husband rave about how he forgot how great the chili I make is!

9. Being mere months away from Christmas

10. School supplies (ok, I had no need for, and actually didn’t buy any new school supplies…but don’t you always want to?  Everyone could always use some new Sharpies, a 64-count box of crayons complete with sharpener, and a couple freshly-printed notebooks, right?)

11. Watching Mitch marvel at the changing leaves and hear him talking about how he didn’t realize how beautiful God made fall!  (He grew up in an area of Colorado where most of the leaves turned just yellow…so when he came to Pennsylvania for college, he was shocked at how beautiful the trees become during this chilly time of year)

Last year, we went up to Clarion to visit Mitch’s older sister who is in grad school there and have been hoping we can make it up again before all of the leaves are gone!

I think I need to go pick a pumpkin…

You two are so freaking CUTE… I just want to pinch you! : ) Seeing you two be all giddy with each other makes me smile…glad we’re getting to know each other better.
